Imagine the site of huge, magnificent Clydesdales with their flowing white feather and friendly white faces...

The harness clinks and jingles as you relax to the gentle rhythm of the horses’ hooves. An experience that is rarely seen nowadays, travelling in a carriage drawn by a team of mighty Clydesdales is one that you will never forget.  

Colonial Clydesdales & Carriages started from my love and admiration for the majestic Clydesdale.  One of my earliest memories as a young child was watching in amazement the beautiful Clydesdales at the Perth Royal Show. This admiration stayed with me throughout my life and my passion for the Clydesdales inspired me to share my love of these horses with people, establishing Colonial Clydesdales & Carriages in Western Australia 2007.

In 2020, I moved to picturesque North East Victoria, where the Colonial Clydesdales & Carriages found a new home.  Nowadays, the Clydesdales graze peacefully together with my black Angus cattle on my farm, where my love for these rare horses and a desire to ensure that the traditions of the Clydesdale are preserved continues.

 We now travel throughout Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland (and even further afield!),  to bring a unique and unforgettable experience to people throughout Australia. 

The Colonial Clydesdales are now one of the last professional Clydesdale teams in  Australia. The skills and knowledge involved in presenting, training and driving Clydesdales are almost lost today.  Our aim is to preserve these magnificent horses and the skills and traditions that are associated with them, before they are lost to the pages of the history books forever.

We achieve this by presenting our Clydesdales at public events such as agricultural shows, festivals and events.. In addition, we cater for private weddings, parties, anniversaries and functions and specialise in corporate promotions and marketing. Our horses and range of carriages, wagon and horse drawn farming implements are available also for ridden events, photo shoots, movies, commercials and for static displays and props.
